
Kayitochi Iheonu

Kayitochi Iheonu is a passionate ESG (environmental, social and governance) and sustainability analyst with a track record of driving impactful environmental initiatives and delivering data-driven solutions in both nonprofit and corporate sectors.
Having previously served as the head of the environmental team, she spearheaded the #NOTOPLASTIC campaign, which led to the removal and recycling of over 10,000 plastic wastes across urban communities, through strategic partnerships that expanded the organization’s environmental impact. She believes in bridging community engagement with evidence-based and sustainable practices to achieve positive, long-lasting communal change.
Alongside her nonprofit work, Kayitochi has built a strong foundation in ESG and sustainability through academic and corporate experience. She holds a Master’s degree in Environmental and Energy Management and currently works as an ESG Analyst in the United Kingdom. She champions values of environmental justice, accountability, and inclusive development, in line with the values upheld by Green Network Initiative.
Currently serving as the General Secretary of the Green Network Initiative, she is instrumental in expanding the organization’s reach. Her contributions continue to shape the organization’s vision, drive operational and internal policy developments, and promote grassroot actions across urban and especially rural communities.
