
Dr Ogaranya Peace Shalom

Dr. Ogaranya Peace Shalom is the Chairperson of the Youth Arm of the Nigerian Cancer Society and currently works with the Rivers State University Teaching Hospital, Port Harcourt, and other hospitals in Lagos. She previously served as Chairperson for the Youth Engagement Team at the 2nd Stakeholders Summit for Cervical Cancer Elimination in Nigeria 2024.
She was also the National Director of the NiMSA Technical Office on Cancer Awareness and Advocacy, leading over 90 members across Nigeria. During her tenure, she organized a Cervical Cancer Webinar with over 100+ attendees, coordinated World Cancer Day activities across 28 states and 50 medical schools, and led national campaigns on HPV, prostate, and breast cancer, including free screenings and community sensitization. She has held leadership roles in CMDA, the American University of Saint Vincent, and other national cancer organizations. A cancer advocate since 2019, she is a life member of the Nigerian Cancer Society and holds certifications in cancer care, global health, and research. She graduated top of her 2022 class from Gregory University Uturu with 7 distinctions.
